Team Spirit Win DreamLeague S25 Over Tundra Esports
Team Spirit displayed utmost resilience over the past few days, pulling off numerous comebacks and overcoming DDoS attacks to win DreamLeague Season 25 over the most difficult opponents. The TI winners took down Tundra Esports 3 - 2 in the Grand Final to win $250,000.
The Eastern European giants put themselves in a comfortable position in the series after two comebacks to put themselves in a 2 - 1 lead. Though it seemed like they were going to close it in four maps, Larl and Collapse were met with technical issues to do a DDoS attacks, and all game progress and drafts from the fourth map were voided.
Two days later, Team Spirit and Tundra Esportscontinued where they left off, with the latter mauling the former in a 26-minute stomp in Game 4. Still, Team Spirit kept their composure and played a clean decisive map to win the series after five maps.
This victory marks the first Tier 1 win for Team Spirit in 10 months, with their last title being PGL Wallachia Season 1. DreamLeague Season 25 is also the first tournament win for their newest recruit, rue.
