Team Liquid Win Their First LAN Tournament With Saberlight - PGL Wallachia S3 Champions
Team Liquid picked up a much-needed victory against Tundra Esports to win PGL Wallachia Season 3. The series ended with a 3 - 1 score, with Team Liquid taking home $300,000 for their efforts.
Since integrating SabeRLighTinto the team, Team Liquid’s last tournament win was 1win Series Dota 2 Fall, which was all the way back in November 2024. This also marks the new recruit’s first career LAN tournament win.
Nisha was undoubtedly the MVP of the event, displaying his prowess in the Grand Final. Playing Tinker in the first map, he set an XPM record of 1,225.
As for the final series itself, it wasn’t too interesting. Aside from dropping the third map, Team Liquid completely dominated the series, leaving Tundra Esports with almost no chance.
Carry player dyrachyo shared some words about the final (translated):
"I would like to sum up this performance. We took 2nd place. It was difficult to play 4 tournaments in a row without stopping, but still the result was good. It was hard to play against Team Liquid, they were faster in many moments and more flexible in terms of draft. Tomorrow I will record you a circle and tell you what and how, but for now I wish everyone a good night and don't get sick guys! Follow the news."
Tundra Esports were rewarded with $175,000 for a good attempt. PGL Wallachia Season 3 was a $1,000,000 tournament held in Romania, Bucharest. The event was played in a LAN format without a crowd from March 8 to 16.
