Esports analyst Ben "Noxville" Steenhuisen presented 2 options for the group stage of The International 10. As he noted, they are based solely on statistics, as the draw has not yet occurred.
Based on his data, 5 teams in the tournament have a more than 60% chance of getting into the upper bracket playoff: PSG.LGD, Evil Geniuses, Team Secret, Vici Gaming и Virtus.Pro. At the same time, each of them has a 1% to 3% chance of leaving the tournament.
SG e-sports, Thunder Predator и Fnatic have the highest odds of leaving the tournament after the group stage. They have 40.45%, 23.64%, and 23.17%, respectively. Four other teams, beastcoast, Alliance, T1 and Undying, have between 13% and 16% to eliminate.
The analyst noted that he would present the updated model right after the group stage draw and the tournament format announcement. Traditionally, this will be done a couple of days before it starts.
The International 10 will take place in Bucharest, Romania, from October 7 to 17. It features 18 teams from different regions that will fight for the title of champion and a prize of $40,018,195.
