Falcons Face Another Early Elimination – DreamLeague S26 Group Stage Results
After four days of non-stop Dota action, the first Group Stage of DreamLeague Season 26 has come to a close.
Eight teams were eliminated from the event, with the highlight being Team Falcons, who suffered a tiebreaker loss to the Gaimin Gladiators.
Group A Results
After OmaR’s abrupt exit from the event, Nigma Galaxy significantly improved. To everyone’s surprise, the MENA squad topped Group A with a 10-4 record, sharing the first seed with Aurora.
Despite several good performances, Shopify Rebellion were forced to exit the event. The North American squad threw heavy advantages in some of their matches, which came back to bite as they were a single win away from forcing a three-way tiebreaker.
Xtreme Gaming, BOOM Esports, and OG.LATAM have also been eliminated from the event. The former’s owner was disappointed with the team’s performance, and ultimately withdrew from the Esports World Cup 2025 event.
Group B Results
The second group developed some interesting results. PARIVISION almost went on a flawless run, ending their campaign with a clean 12-2 record.
Meanwhile, two Asian teams trail the ESL One Raleigh 2025 winners, as Yakult Brothers and Talon Esports secured spots in the second Group Stage with nine and eight wins, respectively.
The fourth advancing spot was fought over by the Gaimin Gladiators and Team Falcons, who were forced into a tiebreaker for survival. Though the MENA squad won the first map convincingly, the Gladiators bounced back to complete the reverse sweep. This marks the second Group Stage exit for Team Falcons, with their recent disaster at PGL Wallachia Season 4.
Unfortunately, NAVI Junior couldn’t handle the heat this time, only managing six wins. The other two teams to join them in elimination are AVULUS and Edge.
DreamLeague Season 26 will continue with its second Group Stage, where only eight teams remain.
