Collapse’s Bristleback Takes Team Spirit To The Final Day
Team Spirit defeated G2.iG in the Lower Bracket after a 2-0 sweep. The TI winners will face Team Falcons in the Lower Bracket Final for a spot in the Grand Final, where Xtreme Gaming awaits. Unfortunately, G2.iG’s run ends here, as they will go home in 4th place and receive $80,000 for their efforts.
The first map was convincingly won by Team Spirit, and calling it a stomp would be an understatement. The game lasted 42 minutes, and the ending kill score was 24-2. We did not witness a single 5v5 team fight, and the game was over just like that.
Game 2 had more action. G2.iG had a decent start to the game, getting quadruple the kills they got in the first map in the early game. The Chinese squad took the first Roshan and Monet’s Lifestealer was scaling well.
However, G2.iG made the mistake of trying to focus all their resources on killing Collapse’s Bristleback, which turned the game around. Despite being broken by Silver’s Edge, Collapse ate one of the two Cheeses he had and sprayed quills over Monet, killing him with no buyback.
Team Spirit ended up taking the series victory, and will make an appearance in the final day of PGL Wallachia Season 1.
